The articles in this issue give a flavour of some of the activities that have been happening at UWE around service user and carer involvement over the past academic year. There are a wide range of examples of how good practice and genuine involvement is being developed and the University is encouraging the involvement of service users and carers:
Di Williams, a student considers how attending teaching on service user and carer involvement has changed the way she now perceives patient involvement in care. The work of the HUB group within the Social Work programmes is discussed in an article by Kevin Stone, Kim Scarborough provides an informative overview of PIPE (was SUCI). Jon Fieldhouse gives a useful reflection and analysis on how student selection has been implemented within Occupational Therapy. Tillie Curran reports on the development of a CPD course for Experts by Experience.
